Description:
Mt Ernest is a much under-rated peak, dwarfed in popularity by Mts Barney and Lindesay. It provides interesting views of the southern aspect of Mt Barney and the surrounding peaks in northern NSW. We follow a long ridge directly to the summit of Mt Ernest . The ridge narrows significantly towards the top. We then head west traversing the peculiar rock formation known as the Organ Pipes, before descending back to the cars.
