Description: We follow the graded track system through beautiful rain forest & past rushing streams for approx 1 hour before turning off onto a vague pad. This twists & turns & descends rapidly to the Coomera River, and involves several sections of exposed scrambling on wet rock and using tree roots and slippery grass for foot &hand holds in some places. There is also an exposed traverse across the top of a waterfall close to a long drop, where care is required. Once in the river there is a delightful hour of rock hopping and more sections of scrambling to the head of the gorge, where we wil have lunch viewing the amphitheatre & ~ 60 metre waterfall. You WILL get wet feet (and probably wet shorts as well ) as the final section needs to be waded - bring some joggers for this section if you wish to keep your boots dry. We return via the same route, if we are lucky we will see some Lamington crays along the way. Good scrambling skills and a head for heights are required for this walk.
