Description: At 964m the ascent involves a sustained uphill climb with some scrambling necessary to reach the saddle. The saddle is thickly vegetated and is surrounded by a ring of smaller peaks. Once upon a time this saddle was often used as a campsite, but has since become overgrown. We negotiate this thick scrub, following a rough trail which will eventually lead us to a scramble over some open slabs up to the summit. The summit provides us with spectacular 360 degree views, so bring your camera. This is a return trip so on departing, what was ascended must then be descended.
